Thank you all for your prayers and concerns for our sweet Josie. We are so thankful to be on this side of surgery, and Josie is doing really well.
We left Mott's hospital on Saturday at 1 ish, and Josie slept the whole 2 hours home. She is adjusting back slowly to her "normal" schedule. The pain does not seem to be bothering Josie, but she is having a hard time being away from us, since we did not leave her side for the days in the hospital. When it is time for bed she longs for one of us to be in her room with her, or rocking her....We know that this to shall pass, and are over joyed with how well the surgery went, and so far recovery is going!

Home Sweet Home!!
We are home! Josie did great on the ride home, and slept the whole way! We are looking forward to settling back home, and loving om our little girl as she heals! Thank you all for the prayers!

It has been a good day!!
We are doing well here at Hotel Mott, Josie is doing really well just sitting in our arms. We slept a bit last night. Josie ate a few things today, and is tolerating her pain. If all goes well tonight, we will be able to head home tomorrow, yeah!! So proud of Josie, and so thankful !!!

Josie is in her room, and safe in our arms!
Long, long surgery, but Josie did great!! She is now resting well in our arms. We are ALL exhausted! So praying for some good rest tonight!

We will be checking Josie in at 12 noon, surgery starts at 1 p.m.....prayers would be appreciated, we did not sleep well last night, and Josie is very very hungry!

SurgeryTime
Josie's surgery has been moved to the afternoon. We will checking in now at 12noon, and surgery will be starting at 1 p.m. This means that Josie will have to go without food after7 am. We are a bit disappointed with this change, but praying that it is just a bit of a hiccup, and everything else will go smoothly.

My anxiety was increasing a bit today, but then the social worker called to answer some of my questions. and my heart already feels a bit calmer......

Our Little Rockstart is heading to Surgery on Thursday....
Dear Friends,
Wow, I can't quite believe that I am writing another update...much less one that includes both the words Josie and Surgery in the same sentence, but here it is.....
I am not sure if I will be sending updates via the blog or e-mail, so in case you have forgotten the blog address, I included it below.
We have one pre-op appointment on Wednesday afternoon, and then surgery is scheduled to be first thing Thursday morning.
The exact name of Josie's surgery is called a Ureteral Reimplant (Below is info that I found that gives quite a detail description).
Please continue to pray for this week....
*A successful-Uneventful surgery!!!
* Dr. Kate Kraft, who will be performing the surgery.
* Josie...I am not sure to pray that she is able to be restful after surgery to heal, or we pray that we can see her acting like her rock star self, soon after surgery...??
*Pray for Andrew and I, and our parents, that God calms our hearts, and gives us an overwhelming sense of Peace, that He will be present and will us through this next week as Josie successful undergoes another surgery.
